Salary: Up to £60,000 (depending on experience)

About the team

We are currently looking for an experienced compliance professional to join our growing centralised Compliance team. This is a newly created role and would suit someone with a strong technical knowledge who also enjoys interacting and working closely with key stakeholders within a business.

As the Compliance Manager you will the lead on all compliance related activities within the Brightside Group and also have line management responsibility for the Senior Compliance Officer.

About the role

You will be taking the lead on the execution and delivery of the Annual Approved Compliance Monitoring Plan, as well as developing initiatives to enhance compliance awareness throughout the Group.

The key elements of your role will include:

    ·Delivering real-time advice to the first line and Compliance team

    ·Delivering of the Compliance Monitoring Plan on a timely basis, ensuring high-quality reviews are completed in accordance with Brightside’s Compliance Monitoring Methodology.

    ·Partnering the business, delivering added-value recommendations to assist in continuously improving the regulatory control environment.

    ·Being the subject matter expert for regulatory obligations.

    ·Managing Compliance ‘sign-offs’ as required.

    ·Oversight of all regulatory breaches.

    ·Completing the monthly bordereaux to the PI insurer.

    ·Completing the 6 monthly Regulatory Return.

    ·Supporting, coaching and developing the Senior Compliance Officer.

About you

We’d love to hear from you if you have a strong technical compliance knowledge developed through working in the insurance industry. Although this role includes line management responsibility it isn’t a prerequisite that you have experience of managing people. This could be the perfect development opportunity for you if you are looking to progress into a leadership role.

You will also need to have:

    ·Experience in Compliance within the Insurance Sector, ideally with Insurance Broker experience.

    ·Experience of delivering risk-based Compliance Monitoring Reviews.

    ·Experience of delivering risk-based Compliance Monitoring Reviews

    ·In-depth knowledge of FCA regulations, notably ICOBS, CONC, PERG, FIT, PROD, CASS and SYSC.

    ·It’s important that you can be commercially sensitive whilst considering business and regulatory risks

    ·A thorough understanding of insurance products, distribution and processes.

    ·We will need you to be a confident and articulate communicator both verbally and in writing and have well-developed influencing skills.

    ·Strong analysis skills and that you can effectively problem solve.

    ·You will need to be self-motivated and be able to work under your own initiative.
